This post has not much to do with babies, but everything to do with parents!
Here is a little project we are working on here at Hudson Baby Design:
This is a master bathroom located on the main floor of a Tudor home in the wonderful Bonnie Brae neighborhood in Denver.
The rest of this quaint home has been updated, but this bathroom is a disaster!
The previous re-model seems as if it was not done by professionals, here are some of the problems:
1. This jacuzzi tub and double head shower might look luxurious, but.... not only does it leak, the plumbing was not insulated, the steam shower smells funny and it is extremely hard to get in and out of because of its size. While it might have seemed like a great idea to incorporate dual shower heads, a jacuzzi tub and a steam shower all in one, some things are better left separated!
2. The vanity situation is not terrible. While it is quite spacious with plenty of storage, the sink on an angle was very strange and without a toe kick. This leaves the person using it with a sore big toe! This area simply needs to be updated. Although we did find some live wires without a housing behind this mirror!!
3. Last but not least, the WC. This photo is taken as you walk into the space. Exactly to your right is the wc, immediately as you enter. This leaves not much for privacy, especially if someone is in the shower looking through the glass half wall.
So, what do we do you ask???
The answer is a total re-model!!!!
We will be keeping you posted on the process. Here are some hints of whats to come:
1. travertine
2. glass tile
3. heated floors
4. granite
5. new cabinets
6. all new plumbing fixtures
7. all new lighting
8. a walk in shower with a bench and dual shower heads!!
We can't wait!!! The perfect spa like master bathroom for exhausted parents!
