Reclaiming Snapshots

The world of photography has changed so much in the past ten years. The most compelling change is that EVERYONE is a photographer these days. Access to a camera is unparalleled seeing as every cell phone has a camera and a video and there are tons of options to enhance your pictures (hello Instagram). Pictures are being used in many inventive ways, like these Thank you notes here, but are limited in their long term display. The instant gratification that comes with digital photography means that photos are rarely printed, just sent. If you do print what would you do with the photos? Put it in an album? Stick them on the refrigerator? The gallery wall has been a huge trend and great way to display photos but they tend to showcase "money shots" worthy of a frame and prime wall position. Which is why these photo displays are so refreshing - I wish I had thought of these top two displays with the giant frames.
And the enormous blown up photo as wallpaper is so clever!
