Happy Fat Tuesday y'all!!! Have you ever been to Mardi Gras? Here, let me help you with your itinerary. Warning: This won't include extended stops on Bourbon Street.
Par example: King Cake - testing several variations
Who Dat? Taking in some music.
Searching for rare, VINTAGE Mardi Gras beads, originals made in 1930s from Czech glass.
Stopping by to view Amanda Talley's work in person.
A roll in the beds and quick nap to test drive the luxurious and famed Leontine Linens
Strolling through the French Quarter
Food = very important.
Everyone is talking about Cochon a James Beard winning restaurant. Go there and tell us if it is as good as they say.
Checking out antiques on Magazine and Royal Streets.
And you know what would be the most exciting? Seeing the Mardi Gras Indians. The costumes are mind blowing and to get an upcloseandpersonal gander at all that beading and feathers - my goodness! The whole point of their outfits is to outdo one another.
Thanks for posting one of my shots of the mardi gras indian!
