Guide to Giving: Help a Cause

Get into the holiday spirit by supporting causes in need. There are so many out there to choose from we thought we would share a few causes that are near and dear to our hearts.

Show your support for our troops! A donation to Wounded Warrior Project can aid in a soldier's physical and emotional recovery after deployment.
The cost of higher education is absolutely astronomical these days, the Kimmy Foundation believes in helping young people to reach their goals by providing scholarships to Colorado students. The foundation believes that by aiding students who exhibit character, creativity and compassion they will go on to become meaningful contributors to our society.

Be a diaper fairy! A $10 gift to helpamotherout.org can help provide a supply of diapers to a struggling mom.

Since its founding in 1910 The Denver Dumb Friends League has aided over 2 million animals. They help sick and injured animals and provide humane care to lost/abandoned animals. They also place the animals by helping them find new homes. The Denver Dumb Friends League is the largest animal welfare organization in the Rocky Mountain Region. My sister got her black lab from the Denver Dumb Friends League and he is the BEST DOG EVER!
Baby it's cold outside! Pay $1 extra on your monthly energy bill to help families struggling to pay their energy bill visit dollarenergyfund.org for more info.

The Two Angels Foundation was formed in memory of Rachel and Allison who suffered from Nemaline Myopothy a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy. After long and hard battles both girls passed away at the age of five. While the girls were alive they wanted nothing more than to get outside, play, have fun and just be kids! Two Angels strives to promote this wish by providing adaptive equipment (like bikes) and recreational equipment for physically disabled children.

What about you? Do you have a cause that is important to you that you are donating to this holiday season? If so share with us in the comment section.
