Really like this idea of using a beautiful piece of painted pottery as the focal point for a courtyard fountain.
When choosing a piece remember the scale of the surrounding pool that will hold the water and the height of the walls, you don't want it to look disproportionate.
The placement of this one is right on. The urn sits on a pedestal that rises just far enough so that there is a small amount of water at the base. The accent tile around the inside lip really pulls the whole look together.
Such beautiful hand painted detail!
