Convenience is Key

Best laid plans

Are on the wall! This wallpaper with the architectural drawings is so graphic. The side table isn't too heavy for the space with the iron legs and marble top and concave mirror is pretty dope.

The bars used to hold the newspapers, neat-o, and they carry the black and white from the wallpaper into this other room. Are those green velvet lampshades- who woulda thought that would be cool outside the seventies?

City Stop - San Francisco

Those unexplained absences last week, they can be explained now. Snuck off to San Francisco for a couple of days. Some highlights from the trip



A day trip to Napa included a tour of the di Rosa Collection
a private modern art collection housed in a gallery in the middle of a vineyard

And then over to St. Helena to Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen for some Campfire Pie

As for design, Nest on Fillmore cured that craving, wow! It is a total treasure trove with bedding, home goods, gifts, clothing, jewelry, handbags, stationary, lighting, furniture and everything is displayed so thoughtfully. Go there and bring your credit card.

Calypso Home

I recently went to Calypso Home and they had really great stuff ! Thought I would show you some of the pics that I was able to snap.

This was my favorite thing. Just a plain panel with a simple black drawing of an interior. It was meant as a curtain panel but the way it was displayed inspired more than one of us observers that that it should be used as a wall covering.
