Sheesh

Kind of behind the 8 ball this week. You Tube and Jimmy Fallon have disabled the embed function on the video I wanted to post. So now you have to go all the way to You Tube to watch it - how rude. We like to watch this almost every Friday to kick off the weekend. Here.

How to decorate a bedroom for a boy

We get asked that question a lot! It seems to fluster people pretty easily, especially to find something that transitions well. These are really simple rooms just a few special elements like molding on the wall to create interest, grass cloth wallpaper and painted woodwork and the rest of the room is a bright color and clean, hardly any pattern or interference.

Bugaboo for Missoni

Check it! A GREAT designer collaboration - Missoni designed a line for Bugaboo strollers.
This is my pick.

I die because Rachel Zoe has one.

For the win!

Usually, I can't resist blasts of color but this TOTALLY works for me. Grey paint, natural wood, great artwork, black/white accents, and furniture that is classic and not fussy.

For $20

I nearly stroke out every time I go to the gas pump$$$, the grocery store$$ or "out for lunch"$ these days. So much so that getting something for $20 these days feels like stealing, but there is stuff out there. Here are my $20 finds.

This orchid was $10 at the grocery store - and it will last for at least 2 or 3 months.

This shell bowl thingy was $18.99

I'm using it as a cachepot for my orchid

Monogrammed pillowcases $17.99

Netflix subscription - a must have now that summer TV has arrived which is beyond terrible.

A new $20 cowboy hat from Dallas.
Hooray for $20 and for the weekend!

Rainbow Brite

Looks like mochi - no?

Our weather has just started to get to summer temps after a weird spring. It makes me so happy because flowers are blooming, sunsets are amazing and people are starting to wear their summer clothes. Hooray!

Nursery of the Week: Sub-lime and navy

This is a room that my mom would refer to as "zippy" with classic elements like wood floors, neutral background and bedding, framed baby clothes, fancy chandelier and tray ceilings jazzed up with two strong accent colors and a vibrant zebra rug.

This nursery could go either way for a boy or a girl with a few quick changes. From the blog a la mode.
