Ready for Random
Usually posts are planned. Not today - just a bunch of images saved along the way for one reason or another. This armoire, closet cabinet thing is pretty bad ass.
Bright lipstick - hard to pull off. Probably a lot easier when you have PIERCING blue eyes. She was such a great unexpected guest star on Mad Men the last two weeks.
Sometimes I wish that a few Denverites would have the stones to really go all out at paint their exteriors in killer color palette. They do not share the same wishes and we are left with blonde brick.
Just a classic image that started the color coordinated bookcase fad. The apartment of Candace Bushnell (Sex&The City author) and her ballerina husband (who I believe is now an ex?)
This was actually a source affordable art that came in giclee prints in numerous larger sizes and now I can't find the source for it - dammit.
Kantha quilts - wish they came in bigger sizes for the bed
A little leopard. Still trying to match the leopard fabric on one chair to re-upholster the seat of its mate. Impossible. This is close but who knows.
Patch work sofa :)

Triple Sinks
It's Complicated was on this weekend, did you catch it? The part where Meryl Streep's character asks for no "his" and "her" sinks in her bathroom remodel reminded me of these bathrooms with triple sinks. If you have multiples or even just 3 kids this would be a amazing. If you had the space and the need would you do it? Or would it be just one more thing to clean?

Champagne Taste on a Pabst Budget
Why oh why are our favorite fabrics so expensive? Evil trickery I tell you. First there was Schumacher's Chaing Mai.
Then the David Hicks La Fiorentina
Martin Lawrence Bullard's Adras Ikat Print in Jewel (also Schumacher)
Lulu DK Butterfly for you guessed it Schumacher
Any and all of these Quadrille China Seas= my mortgage.
Yes, they are trendy but that is also why they are so hard to get over, you keep seeing them used in new and interesting ways that make them even more fabulous.
The lesson here is to become the heir to the Schumacher.
We are pretty good about sourcing reasonably priced fabrics but every once in a while you fall hard and there just is no substitute.
