Our "Madam Butterfly" Nursery

Another Hudson Baby Design Nursery.

We haven't gotten to go super girlie in a while, so this was really fun! We had a wonderful client in Washington Park who was not afraid of color, or of having some fun! This  old house has plaster walls and high ceilings, so we wrapped the Schumacher wallpaper down around the walls and added some midnight blue trim to break it up a bit before our soft Benjamin Moore yellow wall color.

 

 The bedding is all custom and we added some Lulu DK fabric to the bottom for some more butterfly whimsy. This is one lucky baby girl. These sheets and ties are all made out of minky fabrics, so they have a very soft hand. The bumper is a grey Greek key pattern . Don't worry safety sam's, the sconces have removeable crystals...when and if she is ever able to reach them (she shouldn't be able to) they can be taken off).

 The changing table, oh the changing table. It came from our friends at Posh Tots and is GORGEOUS!! The photos do not do it justice. The inside of the drawers are ORANGE!!!! It is stunning in person.

Some custom window treatments with some more LuLu, some 3D butterflies on the walls, some pops of color complements of Crate and Barrel on the floor and here you have a very fun nursery for a very fun family.

Brass accents, bold printed wall paper and the beni ourain shag rug are a total throw back to crazy 70's glam. Add the much coveted NurseryWorks Uptown crib adds a contrasting preppy influence.

This nursery was created for a design show house hence the "no holds barred" attitude, not so sure about the art :)

Great shade of blue on that glider and the attention to detail with using a faux bois pattern rug to tie in with the bird mural on the wall.

Count on a Rockstar's wife (Jennifer is mairred to Tom DeLonge from Blink182 fame) to come up with a cool room. After having her baby she went in designing hip nursery furniture.
